💙Frozen blueberry low-fat yogurt — 60g protein
Ingredients
- 500g Low-fat quark (60g Protein)
- One spoon of cinnamon
- A handful of frozen blueberries
- ~200ml water
Preparation
Mix the ingredients in a blender for a few seconds and you will have a protein-yogurt that contains about 60g of protein. Because of the casein in the low-fat quark, this recipe is an optimal meal before bedtime to supply your body overnight with enough protein.
Discussion
Of course, instead of blueberries, you can use any other frozen berries you like. I personally prefer blueberries as they are said to have some positive effects like reducing the blood pressure in your body. I like to add cinnamon on the other hand because studies showed that the consumption of even 1g per day can have a positive influence on your blood sugar [1] and so also support your overall health.
I can also advise you to use the “real” Ceylon cinnamon instead of the regular cassia cinnamon you will find in most supermarkets…
