Big News For The Official Kotlin Multiplatform IDE
Goodbye Fleet as the official KMP IDE

Say “Goodbye” to JetBrains Fleet, at least if you have been using it solely for Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) development.
Until now, Fleet was the recommended IDE for KMP. Especially when working with Compose Multiplatform (CMP), Fleet is the only IDE that supports the Compose Multiplatform Preview.

With the recent blog post in the official JetBrains Blog published by Hadi Hariri, a new shift in further development for tooling support for KMP has been announced.

Fleet as KMP IDE
Many of us were hyped about Fleet when it was first introduced, hoping it would be the IDE that finally made KMP development smoother. The idea of a lightweight, modern, and built-from-scratch IDE sounded great.
